Lee’s Summit, MO, June 18, 2008 – ViraCor Laboratories, a specialty molecular diagnostic reference laboratory that provides 24-hour turnaround for all laboratory tests, today announced that the company’s CEO, Flip Short, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2008 Award in the life sciences category in the Central Midwest regional program. In its 22nd year, Ernst & Young’s award program recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses that have demonstrated exceptionality in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Short was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Sheraton Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas on June 18, 2008. As a Central Midwest award winner, he is now eligible for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 national program.
